Our goal is to create awareness of the beauty of Polish indigenous stones and minerals. We also aim to support local craftsmanship at every stage of jewellery production.
Kamena was founded by best friends and designers: Agnieszka Pielach and Joanna Soroczak. Our jewellery is made mainly in an jewellery workshop with long traditions in the Tri-City area. Some of our designs we produce in cooperation with other local artisans. They also support us with such services as casting, gilding or engraving. Stones which decorate our jewellery pieces are hand-cut in a family grindery in a small village in Lower Silesia.
We source locally each stone we use in our collections. We do not use minerals from developing countries, often mined with disregard for human rights and the environment. Since there is no commercial market for polish minerals, to find each of them we sought help from private collectors to geologists who locate these unique examples.
