Some of you probably wonder who stands behind a small local jewellery brand…today we would like to share with you our secret :) Kamena is us: Asia and Aga - friends for over 15 years, founders of the company, designers of jewellery, and a group of wonderful artisans and enthusiasts who help us to make our ideas come true.

We were inspired to establish our brand for two main reasons. One was that we couldn't find on the market the jewellery we wanted to wear at that time and the second was the passion brought from childhood for collecting stones and minerals.

We started to order custom jewellery made for us by our friend - jeweller. At the same time, following our hobby from the childhood we were frequently visiting mineral fairs in Warsaw where we quickly noticed that among the number of jewellery designs, there is practically no jewellery with Polish stones. We knew very well that locally we have quite a variety of geological treasures available. In the following months, we turned our observations and inspirations into a brand that produces and sources materials locally. We wanted to make sure that the gems we are using in our designs are sourced in a fair way as well as people who work for us are paid what they deserve.

On our way, we met a bunch of great people supporting us in developing our brand. Over the last 4 years, apart from our business relationship, we became close friends as well :)

We would like to introduce you to our great jewellers: Zuzia and Slawek who are dedicated, hard-working craftsman putting all of their hearts into the manufactured products. They work in a small studio near Warsaw.

Another very important person for Kamena is our lapidarist Michał. He was one of the first people who believed in our ideas and with great enthusiasm, he started helping us to promote our local stones. He is undoubtedly one of the best gem-cutters in Poland. Thanks to him we can make jewellery with non-standard shapes of stones :)

We also would like to mention that we cooperate with many great specialists in their fields like experienced foundry owner, engraver, gemologist with many years of experience who confirms the authenticity of stones, gold-plating workshop with long traditions, and many wonderful people, geologists and collectors from whom we obtain our local stones for you.
