From Ancient Fibula to Timeless Detail

The earliest brooches date back to around 1500 BCE. Known as fibulae, they served a practical function — fastening garments in ancient Greece and Rome — but over time evolved into decorative statements worn to express status and style.

A Berber Motif — Enduring Through Centuries

The inspiration behind our design came from a gift — an antique Berber brooch from Morocco. Traditional Berber jewellery was created by hand using silver, filigree, and bold circular forms. These brooches often featured an open hoop and a long pin — both functional and beautifully symbolic.

Kamena’s Modern Interpretation

In our reinterpretation of this historical motif, we use 925 sterling silver (some pieces are gold-plated with 24-karat gold) and pair it with natural stones sourced in Poland. Each piece is crafted in our studio and designed to complement both women’s and men’s wardrobes.
